Julian House has written to Bath Quakers with an open invitation to the Circuit of Bath walk on 24 Sept. It’s a spectacular and popular event, in aid of Bath’s homeless charity. Walkers and runners can choose anything from a two to 20 mile stretch of the circular route around Bath’s beautiful countryside.

Circuit of Bath Walk – In aid of Julian House
This spectacular sponsored walk, which takes place on Sunday 24 September, takes in some of Bath’s most beautiful countryside. Although the whole route is 20 miles long, participants can do as little as 2 miles if they want, thanks to a unique shuttle bus service that operates via the 5 checkpoints during the day.
Whether you’re a keen walker or a family looking for a pleasant afternoon out, the Circuit of Bath is a terrific event. People who have lived in Bath for years will be surprised at the stunning countryside which is right on their doorstep, just 2 or 3 miles from the bustling city centre.
One particular stretch, from Bathampton to Limpley Stoke, follows the canal path which makes it suitable for family groups. Other parts of the route take in quaint villages such as Woolley, Upper Swainswick, Englishcombe and South Stoke. Dogs, on leads, are also very much encouraged to take part.
The shortest part of the route is just two miles and the whole route is 20 miles so there is a choice to challenge the any walker. Route directions, which are given on the day, are also available clockwise and anti-clockwise.
The event is free to enter but participants are asked to raise as much sponsorship as they can so that Julian House can continue to help and support homeless and marginalised men and women.
