Bath interfaith events: Islamic, Sufi and Buddhist talks covering peace, justice and “present-moment awareness”

Sun 22 Oct 2017 1500 in the Friends Meeting House, York St Bath: Sheikh Rashad Azami will speak on Islam, Peace and Justice.  The talk will be followed by light refreshments.

Please note that the Friends invite you to join them for a shared lunch from 12:45 (following their Sunday meeting) – please bring a dish to share of finger-food.  The Interfaith Group talk then begins at 3pm.

Tuesday 24 Oct 1930 – John Peacock, Buddhist practitioner and scholar, Associate Director of the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, and teacher on the Oxford University mindfulness based cognitive therapy Masters course, will speak at the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institution in Queens Square: a talk entitled “Present Moment Awareness (mindfulness):  An Ancient Practice for the Contemporary World”.   The talk is free, and all are welcome.

Mon 13 Nov 1930 Christian Science Meeting Room, Claverton St, Widcombe, Bath BA2 4LE. To mark National Interfaith Week: A talk on Sufism from Alistair Beattie, many years working with Interfaith in the locality (currently with Bristol Multi-Faith Forum).
