Kirsten Bolweg has a date for our diaries: Friday 21 September 1930: Heart of Place – a soirée of music and spoken word performance to raise funds for the homeless and displaced people of Bath (funds raised shared between Julian House and Bath Welcomes Refugees). She writes:
It is my swan song event culminating my year as the 20th Bard of Bath with a manifesto about raising awareness about the homeless and displaced people in Bath. Des Harris of the Frome Meeting House will be reading from his memoirs so I hope we will see some of the Bath Friends there to support him – and me too!!
There are still some contributors to be confirmed but it will be a good line up of performances and readings with some solid support from “Nazrudin” a group with a Celtic-Middle Eastern sound. The lead member was himself one of the homeless some years back.
Tickets (price includes finger food with some Middle Eastern contributions) are already available on Eventbrite
