Bath Quakers’ surplus bookshelves find a happy home in the House of HIM

Bath Quakers’ beech bookshelves from the York Street Meeting House have found a happy home at Fairfield House, the villa donated to Bath by HIM Haile Selassie I. They will house a donated collection of historic and sacred texts about Ethiopia and HIM in Fairfield House’s new library.

Chris (left, volunteer) and Des (maintenance manager) appreciate the old Meeting House bookshelves.

A second bookshelf was carefully split into two, neatly filling two alcoves.
