Planting for the future in the Quaker Burial Ground, Bath

Susan Tomes and Claire Marrack write about how you can be involved with an exciting new phase of renovating the Quaker Burial Ground, Bath:

Firstly a big thank you to all those who have contributed their time, companionship and ideas in helping to transform our Burial Ground during the past year. Having completed a lot of the ground work we are now moving into the second and exciting phase of the renovation, i.e. complementing the already established plants and filling this sacred space with more beautiful plants.

We would love your help in filling the borders with beautiful, sensory plants and flowers for Friends and visitors to enjoy. Rose Rogers, our gardening advisor, has compiled a list of plants required: browse our Plant wish-list. We would welcome contributions and donations from Friends.

You can give actual plants, either from your garden or bought, or you can donate money and let us know if you wish your donation to be for a particular plant, see: How to donate.

Every donation will help us buy carefully selected plants, trees and shrubs to provide beautiful colour, scent, structure, texture, and to encourage wildlife to the garden for years to come.

We are looking forward to the coming of spring and being able to once again garden and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of our burial ground.

We are so grateful for your support, thank you.
