Everyone is invited to the Great Get Together in Bath next Sunday 18 June. The Great Get Together is a Bring & Share Picnic, part of a national series events arranged by the Jo Cox Foundation.

Ms Cox, a Labour MP, was murdered by a right-wing extremist on 16 June 2016.

The Great Get Together in Bath is in the Walcot Open Space, Walcot Gate, Bath on Sunday 18 June 1100-1400. Walcot Open Space was the the site of the old Walcot Festival back in the ‘1970s. Event organisers the Bath Labour Party, whose new office is nearby on Walcot Street, say:

This is a community event, open to all, a chance to enjoy being together and to celebrate what we have in common, so bring your family and friends along (not forgetting a picnic and something to sit on).

June 16th is the first anniversary of the murder of Jo Cox MP.
