Event: Migration: Facts, Experiences, and Conversations with Refugees Date: Saturday 23 Sept
Time: 1500-1900 (doors 14.45)
Place: Burdall’s Yard, Bath
Held in collaboration with Bristol Refugee Rights, this Bath Spa University event is an opportunity for anyone interested in finding out about the reality of the refugee experience. It consists of refugees sharing their stories of migration and settlement in Britain, a poster exhibition with migration maps and facts, and music performances by asylum seekers, refugees, and Bath Spa University Music students. Taking place at Burdall’s Yard in Bath, the fantastically atmospheric stone vaults of a former brewery, the event is open to everyone. It is free to attend, but raises funds and awareness for Bristol Refugee Rights and Bath Welcomes Refugees. There will be a crafts corner for children and refreshments will be available for purchase.
Schedule:
1500-1630: a panel of refugees tell their stories and share their experiences
1630-1700: Break and poster exhibition
1700-1900 – Music performances
