The exquisite technique of the Rainbow Steel Band brought a mellow vibe to the Christ Church service.
Several Bath Quakers helped organise and attended Christ Church’s Windrush Thanksgiving event, with Fairfield House and BEMSCA. It included a well-attended service graced by the Rainbow Steel Band, coffee and cakes, and a Caribbean cook-out BBQ plus soundsystem operated by DJ Steely Ranx in Christ Church’s garden.
Revd Lore Chumbley spoke powerfully about the contributions of the Caribbean community, and the shortcomings in Britain’s welcome both then and now.
