A Grasmere Nativity – with a Bath Quaker connection

The band playing for the baby, by the barn – A still from the film made by Gorgeous Media for Grasmere Village School

Thanks to coverage on the BBC, in The Guardian and wide sharing on social media, the Grasmere Village School nativity play has been seen by millions around the world. Covid restrictions meant that this year’s performance had to be shot in sections in bubbles and much of it outdoors. What has resulted is 17 minutes and 29 seconds of witty, charming Cumbrian loveliness. Watch it on YouTube.

And the Bath Quaker connection? Our Friend David Goode’s daughter Jo Goode is the head teacher of the school.
