Bath Quakers are long-standing supporters of the Quaker Gender & Sexual Diversity Community (QGSDC).
QGSDC – formally the Quaker Lesbian and Gay Fellowship – is a LGBTI+ community welcoming people seeking an inclusive spiritual home within Quakers.
QGSDC seek to:
- provide space for individuals who share the joys and challenges arising from diverse sexual orientation and diverse gender identity
- inspire the Quaker community in Britain to reach out to people who are seeking a spiritual home but who feel marginalised by faith communities, because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
QGSDC promote equality for all lesbian, gay, bisexual, asexual, transgender, intersex and queer people, among faith groups and in society, in the UK and elsewhere.
You can find out more about QGSDC and sign up for their email newsletter at their website: http://qgsdc.org.uk/
Bath Quaker Meetings is also registered as a Visible Space with OneBodyOneFaith, confirming our commitment to being a community where the lives, loves, identities and gifts of LGBTI+ people are recognised, accepted, affirmed and celebrated.
